The 7 Letters to The 7 churches

This short teaching covers the 7 letters of Revelation chapters 2 and 3. The million dollar question is: Who do the 7 churches represent? Are they 7 church ages? Are they 7 present day church streams? Or are they simply to be taken literally – 7 churches in Asia Minor? Despite some clever teaching which attempt to prove the first two options, we can simplify matters by deciding to take these chapters literally. However the warnings still apply to us. These warnings are very applicable today, for we have dead churches, lukewarm churches, churches who love the distorted prosperity of the doctrine of Balaam, and churches who whitewash over sin, with the doctrine of the Nicolatians.
