The Bible describes the worst period in human history on earth, often referred to as the Great Tribulation—or, as the prophet Jeremiah calls it, “Jacob’s Trouble.” This time frame is clearly expressed in multiple ways—years, months, and days—all referring to the same event and period. God emphasized the duration of this time by stating it in various formats to confirm its certainty. The events of this period are found in many parts of the Bible. The Book of Revelation serves as a culmination of both the Old and New Testaments.
